Job summary

The Big Fresh Catering Company is recruiting an enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to lead the daily operation of the on-site kitchen at All Saints C/W Primary, serving around 100–110 meals each day.

This term-time, part-time role is 25 hours per week, graded at SCP 8–12 with pro rata pay of £27,709–£29,542.

Applicants should have at least two years of hands-on catering experience in a busy environment and be able to supervise staff and plan effectively; DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise staff to achieve the service objectives.
• Ability to plan and organise the kitchen to its full potential.
• Be able to use their own initiative in the day to day running of the kitchen.
• At least 2 years practical cooking experience in a busy catering environment within the last 3 years.
• Firm commitment to providing a quality catering service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the kitchen at All Saints C/W Primary.
• Supervise kitchen staff to ensure high standards and efficient service.
• Plan and organise kitchen operations to meet meal targets (100–110 daily).
• Maintain hygiene, quality and safeguarding in line with DBS requirements.

Pay Details: Grade 5, SCP 8 - 12 £27,709 - £29,542 Pro Rata £14.36 - £15.31 Per Hour

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 5 Days - 25 hrs per week, term time only

Main Place of Work: All Saints C/W Primary
