North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Cook to lead our catering provision at Lealholm School in Whitby, North Yorkshire. You will prepare approximately 30 meals daily in a welcoming school environment and manage a small kitchen team with a focus on nutrition and food safety.

The role is term-time only, 20 hours per week, with a permanent contract and a pay range of £13.92–£14.59 per hour plus a recruitment incentive of up to £500.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking nutritious meals in a school setting.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and organised.
• Ability to lead a catering team.

Responsabilités

• Preparing, cooking and serving freshly made meals
• Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
• Setting up and clearing the dining area
• Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Supervising and supporting kitchen staff
• Ordering food and managing stock levels
• Completing stock checks and kitchen administration
