Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is recruiting for a part-time school catering role, 20 hours per week during term time. The post runs Monday to Friday with flexible hours to meet service needs and is based in a school setting.

The role requires City and Guilds 706/1 and 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Catering, Level 3 Food Safety in Catering, and knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations. A safeguarding ethos is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP and compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Preparation and cooking for children, understanding large-scale and small meal requirements.
• City and Guilds 706/1 and 2 or equivalent NVQ Level 2/3 in Catering; Level 3 Food Safety in Catering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for children in a school setting.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and health and safety regulations.
• Work Monday–Friday, term-time, with flexible hours to meet service needs.
