Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council in Cross Hands is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to support our Cook in preparing nutritious meals while upholding food hygiene and safety standards.

Working 15 hours per week during term time, you’ll set up and clear tables, assist with cleaning duties, and contribute to a friendly, inclusive kitchen environment with an annualised pay scheme. Welsh language level 2 is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to build good relationships with adults and children.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge; training provided.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in preparing nutritious meals.
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
• Set up and clear away tables and perform general cleaning.
