Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and reliable School Cooks to support multiple schools in the Stoke region. Roles run Monday to Friday, 7am–2pm, with pay from £15.00/hour. Immediate start is available, with opportunities for ongoing work and a dynamic event atmosphere.

Ideal candidates have a passion for food and prior chef or cook experience, good time management, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a chef or cook role.
• Organised and good time management.

• Reliability and good timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to a high standard and adhering to menu specifications.
• Ensure kitchen is fully equipped and in good working condition, reporting any issues to be resolved by management.
• Stocke the kitchen with supplies and organising stockroom, including monitoring of sell-by dates and rotating stock.
• Monitor ingredients and reporting order requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and food service areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines.
• Report any safeguarding concerns.
• Work and communicate effectively within the kitchen team and with Front of House team members.
• Complete due diligence and ensuring full compliance with relevant Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
