Sodexo is seeking a Cook to support a school kitchen in Worcester. You will assist the Cook Manager in overseeing food and beverage operations, presenting dishes attractively and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role offers a fixed pattern with no unsociable hours and public holidays off.

You will train catering staff, maintain food quality, and ensure portions align with requirements while maintaining high service standards. Previous school kitchen experience is advantageous.

Formación

• Must have at least 1 year hands-on cooking experience.
• Experience cooking for large groups (100–1300 students) and working with fresh produce.
• Familiar with health and safety procedures and allergen awareness.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards under time pressure.
• Hold a basic food handling certification and demonstrate professional conduct.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook, present, and serve food to company standards for breakfast, lunch and hospitality.
• Adhere to Food Safety, Health & Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Carry out catering staff training and ensure service counters and food presentation meet standards.
• Portion dishes according to business requirements and manage daily/weekly cleaning of kitchen areas.
• Deliver high standards of customer service, cleanliness and operational excellence.
