Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an ambitious Chef on a 30-hour-per-week contract to create exceptional food experiences. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals in a client-facing environment within the education sector.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen and act on customer feedback to improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
