Job summary

Impact Food Group is recruiting a Cook for Cottenham Village College, with shifts 7am–2.30pm, 35 hours/week during term-time. This role offers a strong work-life balance, with school holidays off and no late nights.

You will support the on-site Chef Manager, prepare meals, ensure high standards of food hygiene, and help maintain a clean kitchen and dining area. Salary is £22,198.75 per annum, with opportunities for ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn.
• Positive, reliable, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of meals following set menus.
• Assist with food prep using fresh ingredients.
• Assist with service, including counter work and till when needed.
• Ensure meals are presented to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.
