Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a committed Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at New Hall School. You’ll support food preparation, help maintain high standards, and play a vital role in the delivery of daily meals and school events.

This term-time position offers £14 per hour with overtime opportunities. Holroyd Howe delivers fresh, seasonal catering to independent schools, prioritising allergen controls, safety and quality, with training and career development built into every role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie in contract catering preferred.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal food and creative presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and high food safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen brigade in daily kitchen operations
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
• Contribute to innovative menu planning
• Manage mise-en-place and ensure a smooth and timely service
• Support events and functions alongside the school calendar
• Accountability for following and championing allergen controls
