Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an ambitious Chef to deliver high-quality food for education clients. This part-time role is 25 hours per week, contracted across 42.6 weeks per year, offering opportunities to develop skills within a market-leading food service company.

You will prepare and serve meals, oversee menu changes, respond to feedback, assist with new menus and concepts, and help maintain hygiene while upholding the Chartwells brand.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
