Avanti Grange Secondary School is seeking an Assistant Chef to support the smooth running of our busy school kitchen and to prepare and serve nutritious vegetarian meals for students and staff.

You will work with the Chef Manager and catering team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food safety and service, and you will assist with stock management, cooking and general kitchen duties in a collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health and safety.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment.
• Ability to follow strict instructions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of all students.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Chef Manager with the preparation and service of nutritious vegetarian meals.
• Prepare, cook, assemble and plate food to required quality and hygiene standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen.
• Assist with stock management, food storage and day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Follow Health and Safety, COSHH, HACCP and temperature-control procedures.
