Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking an IT Technician to support our growing network of South West schools. Based primarily at Lift Marling in Stroud, you will assist five current hub schools and help onboard four new schools from January onwards.

You will work with IT colleagues and partners to keep systems running smoothly, resolve issues quickly, and build trusted relationships with teachers and staff. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualifications (A levels or equivalent).
• Experience supporting and deploying applications and operating systems.
• Skills in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain technical info clearly.
• Curiosity and a problem‑solving approach; quick learner.
• Excellent organisation; stays calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical faults with Windows, Apple and Chrome devices; ensure service levels are met.
• Support systems including printing, telephony, door access, classroom management and CCTV.
• Maintain and install audio-visual systems across school sites.
• Monitor and support broadband connectivity, SSO, backups and firewalls.
• Support onboarding of four new schools joining the hub.
• Keep records in the service management system and manage assets.
• Provide excellent customer service and update colleagues on progress.
