Job summary

Xact Placements Ltd. is seeking an IT Manager to supervise the administration and curriculum ICT network across the school.

You will oversee software/hardware infrastructure, security, and service availability while guiding IT technicians on site and working with senior leaders on strategic IT projects. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a similar school-based IT role, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a proactive approach to service improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of IT Manager/Network Manager experience in a school setting.
• Ability to work independently and with a team to solve problems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience upgrading and maintaining school IT networks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management, security, availability, maintenance and installation of ICT network.
• Monitor on-site IT technicians and support staff.
• Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop IT infrastructure plans.
• Ensure ICT systems are stable, secure and optimised for staff and students.
• Provide technical advice and training to staff; document upgrades and changes.
• Observe and maintain key systems including servers, switches and backups.
