Job summary

turn IT On is recruiting an IT Manager to oversee the curriculum and administrative ICT network across a school environment in Sydenham, Lewisham, London. You will manage installation, maintenance, security and availability of the ICT infrastructure, collaborating with the Senior Management team to plan improvements and projects that enhance teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years’ experience in an educational ICT context, is proactive, and demonstrates excellent communication

Qualifications

  • Experience as IT Manager in a school setting.
  • Experience upgrading a school IT network.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage school ICT network and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain key systems: switches, servers, Microsoft 365, backups.
  • Provide training and support to staff to use systems effectively.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations and SLA adherence.
  • Line manage ICT support staff and provide 2nd/3rd line support.
