Job summary

PlanetRecruitment is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a leading independent school in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The role is site-based and focuses on maintaining and supporting enterprise-grade IT infrastructure to underpin teaching and learning.

You will resolve user issues, administer Windows 11/Office 365, Microsoft Server 2019/2022, and manage network services, firewalls and AV systems. Strong communication and customer-service ethos are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and administering Windows 11 and Office 365.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022.
• Knowledge of wired/wireless networks, firewalls and content filters.
• Experience supporting PCs, laptops, mobile devices and AV systems.
• Clear, logical thinker with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve user IT issues across the school.
• Administer and maintain the school’s IT systems and network.
• Support teaching staff with issue resolution and updates.
• Assist with AV systems and classroom technology.
