Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency in Camden is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a part-time role (3 days per week) to lead day-to-day HR operations in a welcoming primary school.

You will provide advice to school leaders, oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, safeguarding, and HR compliance, while collaborating with external advisers in a values-led, staff wellbeing-focused environment.

The role offers hybrid working options and a supportive network of colleagues.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience required.
• Experience in education/public sector advantageous.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• HR Operations: main contact for school leaders on HR matters; liaise with external advisers and trade unions as needed.
• Recruitment and Onboarding: manage end-to-end recruitment, ads, applications, safer recruitment checks and onboarding.
• Employee Relations: support absence management, disciplinary and capability, probation reviews and performance management.
• Safeguarding and Compliance: maintain SCR, contracts and policies to meet safeguarding and employment requirements.
• Staff Development: coordinate annual appraisal cycles and support managers with people management practices.
• HR Advice: handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
