Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a dedicated Hospitality Assistant to ensure the smooth running of operations on a permanent full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

You will deliver high-quality hospitality service to designated meeting rooms, set up rooms for meetings and events, provide timely food and beverage delivery, and maintain presentation and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service.
• Friendly, professional, client-focused with strong service mindset.
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality hospitality service to designated meeting rooms, boardrooms, and client areas.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events, including food, beverages, tableware, and equipment in line with service standards.
• Provide timely delivery and replenishment of food and drinks during meetings and events.
• Ensure presentation standards are consistently met, with attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Clear and clean meeting rooms promptly after use, ensuring spaces are reset and ready for future bookings.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
• Engage professionally with clients, responding to requests and resolving issues efficiently.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
• Support with stock control, replenishment, and reporting of shortages or issues.
• Work collaboratively with catering, kitchen, and on-site teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Adhere to service schedules and respond flexibly to changing client requirements.
