Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a School Nurse Assistant on a permanent, term-time basis (30 hours). You will support the Healthy Child Programme 0–19, including weighing, measuring and audiology screening, promoting healthy outcomes for children and young people.

Key duties include assisting Nurses, organising school activities, recording growth data and safeguarding, with flexible hours 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, pro-rata pay and NHS benefits.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a clinical environment.
• Relevant further study or short course appropriate to the post (e.g., office management).
• Understanding of confidentiality and the Healthy Child Programme.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as directed by School Nurses to maximise clinical time.
• Organise group activities and teaching in schools for the Health Child Programme 0-19.
• Undertake growth monitoring of children in schools and report results.
