Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a School Nurse Assistant to support the Healthy Child Programme for children aged 0 to 19. The role involves weighing and measuring, audiology screening and promoting health and wellbeing among children and young people.

Working 30 hours per week as term time only, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, with a flexible arrangement. The post offers NHS terms and conditions including annual leave and benefits.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a clinical environment.
• Relevant further study or short course appropriate to post eg office management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as directed by the School Nurses to enable them to make the most effective and efficient use of clinical time.
• Organise group activities and teaching sessions for schools to enable the teams to deliver the Health Child Programme 0-19
• Undertaking the growth monitoring of children within schools and record and report results to school nurse in accordance with existing SOPs.
• Undertake hearing screening and record and report results to school nurse in accordance with existing SOPs.

Education
