Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a School Nurse Assistant to join our School Nursing Team on a permanent, term-time contract (30 hours per week). The role supports the Healthy Child Programme 0–19, including growth and hearing screening, as well as promoting health and wellbeing among children and young people.

The post is 30 hours, term-time only, flexible across Monday to Friday 9am–5pm. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with NVQ Level 3 or

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a clinical environment.
• Relevant further study or short course appropriate to post (eg office management).

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 0–19, including weighing and measuring children.
• Undertake growth monitoring and report results to the school nurse.
• Undertake hearing screening and report results to the school nurse.
• Organise group activities and teaching sessions for schools.
