Job summary

Bincombe Valley Primary School in Weymouth is seeking a part-time janitor to join our site team on a permanent basis. You will support the Site Manager with grounds maintenance, cleaning, and security duties, ensuring the building is safe and well kept.

The role is 20 hours per week with potential additional hours. We value enthusiasm, reliability, DIY skills and a good grasp of health and safety. You will work as part of a small team or independently as required.

Qualifications

• Be enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about their role.
• Have a strong work ethic.
• Have some DIY / handyman experience.
• Have a good understanding of general health and safety.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the school grounds, particularly outdoor areas.
• Cleaning duties.
• Being responsible for the security of the school premises in the absence of the Site Manager, acting as a key holder.
