Job summary

Achieve and Learn Trust in Altrincham is seeking a Trust Finance Officer to help operate and monitor school accounts and budgets, ensuring the safe receipt and handling of cash, and the timely processing of invoices, cheques and BACS.

Based at the Trust Hub with occasional travel to other Trust schools, you will provide administrative support, liaise with suppliers and budget holders, and assist with year-end processes and audits.

Qualifications

• Assist with operating and monitoring school accounts and budgets.
• Ensure the safe receipt and handling of cash.
• Process orders, invoices, cheques, BACS, income and the receipt and distribution of goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Chase up non-deliveries, deal with queries and check supplier statements.
• Process payments following required authorisation and ensure cards/cheques/BACs are signed and authorised by relevant signatories.
• Record and bank all income and monitor income and expenditure for trips where applicable.
• Provide support to the CFO/Deputy CFO and business managers in financial tasks.
• Assist in end-of-year accounts and audit processes.
