Ombersley Endowed First School and Pre-School are looking to appoint a School Finance Administrator to start in the Autumn term. Ombersley Endowed First School is a school which places children at the centre of everything we do. We are a small rural First School with a family ethos and the school is committed to ensuring that our children achieve their full potential and are well-rounded individuals. The Finance Administrator role is a valuable resource in ensuring that the school runs smoothly on a day to day basis and has a strategic vision. The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week and will be term time plus 3 weeks - in school holidays (this can be negotiated). Our Finance Administrator will be responsible for finance administration of the school and Pre-School including Wraparound Care. Experience of working within a school is strongly preferred but not essential.

We therefore want our Finance Administrator to be personable, efficient, calm, enthusiastic, supportive, and positive. Most of all, you need to work well as part of a team and want the best for the school. To communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and innovation. The School Finance Administrator will work closely with the headteacher, supporting her and working strategically with the Senior Leadership Team. Our school is expanding and has grown from 99 to150 pupils. We have high expectations of all staff who work within our team and would expect that the right person for this post would share our desire to be the best. This school is committed to recruiting with care and safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS Check will be required prior to any offer of employment and this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The role is in regulated activity and requires a children’s barred list check. The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance for the successful applicant. A disclosure notification must be completed prior to the interview process and returned to school. Online checks are carried out for those candidates that are shortlisted.
