Job summary

Kempston Academy in Bedford is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the school's buildings, grounds and facilities. You will carry out electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks as required and help manage opening/closing, alarms and security, acting as a key holder where directed. Full training is provided, and safeguarding requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of school buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Carry out electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs as required.
• Open/close Trust premises and oversee site security.
• DBS check and satisfactory references required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager in daily maintenance tasks.
• Ensure doors and windows are secured and lights/heaters switched off.
• Act as a designated key holder as directed.
• Support during opening/closing of premises and alarm systems.
