Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College is seeking a reliable Premises Officer to help maintain a safe and secure campus. You will perform security checks, manage building maintenance, and respond to day-to-day site needs.

The role involves operating building systems, handling deliveries, supporting lettings, and acting as a designated key holder for emergency access, while upholding safeguarding of students.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings and site are secure with daily security checks.
• Maintain records relating to maintenance and security.
• Follow health and safety regulations (COSHH) and report hazards.
• Undertake general portage duties including moving furniture.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance of buildings and site.
• Operate systems such as heating, cooling, lighting, CCTV and alarms.
• Receive deliveries to the school site.
• Be designated key holder for emergency access.
• Assist with lettings and liaise with contractors.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
