Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College seeks a proactive premises assistant to join our team at Norton Site. You will help maintain a safe, secure school environment, perform routine checks, manage deliveries, and support lettings and minor repairs.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with COSHH rules, health and safety practices, and basic site maintenance. The role covers multiple Abbey Hill sites during holidays and requires reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in school premises or building maintenance.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Secure buildings and site, perform daily security checks.
• Maintain records of maintenance and security.
• Follow COSHH and health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with portage tasks and movement of furniture.
• Undertake minor repairs to buildings and site.
• Replace consumables and monitor supplies.
• Operate heating, cooling, lighting and security systems.
• Receive deliveries and manage waste collection.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and lettings tasks.
• Act as key holder for emergency access.
