Job summary

E-ACT Shenley Academy in Birmingham is seeking a proactive Site Manager to secure and maintain the academy, ensuring it is safe and ready for daily learning. The role involves managing security systems, health and safety compliance, and coordinating with external contractors to uphold high standards of the premises.

Key responsibilities include overseeing alarm/CCTV, conducting regular site assessments, and leading H&S meetings with the Estates Partner.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (minimum).
• Knowledge of building systems and security management.
• COSHH certification.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for security and safety of contents and users at all times, including holidays and out of hours; manage alarm and CCTV contracts and systems.
• Ensure Health and Safety regulations are followed with minimal disruption to teaching; maintain compliance records.
• Regularly assess premises condition with Estates Partner/Headteacher and plan a rolling programme of remedial works and maintenance.
• Manage and monitor outsourced work/contracts; ensure contractors comply with terms and health and safety procedures.
• Lead the Academy's Health & Safety meetings quarterly with support from Estates Partner.
