Job summary

Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust is seeking a site operations assistant to help ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of academy premises. You will carry out routine inspections, monitor cleaning standards and report defects or health and safety concerns.

The role includes minor maintenance tasks, supervising contractors where needed, and attending training. All applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks in line with safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine compliance and safety checks allocated through the Trust CAFM system.
• Carry out regular monitoring checks of cleaning standards and report concerns to the line manager.
• Assist with routine upkeep of the school site and external areas.
• Undertake minor maintenance tasks and basic repairs within competence.
• Carry out visual inspections and promptly report defects, hazards or security concerns.
• Monitor contractors working on site and report any issues relating to safe working practices.
• Follow all Trust Health and Safety procedures and relevant risk assessments.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Report urgent Health and Safety concerns immediately to the line manager.
• Attend training relevant to the duties of the post.
