Job summary

Spilsby Primary Academy, part of Infinity Academies Trust, seeks a proactive Site Operative to keep buildings safe, clean and well-maintained for pupils and staff. This hands-on role covers security, small repairs, grounds care and compliance with COSHH and safeguarding policies.

You will join a supportive team, receive training on the Every compliance system, and work under the Operations Manager. The post is on-site in Spilsby, with opportunities to contribute to a friendly learning

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or site maintenance is preferred.
• Willing to undertake required training.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Secure and safeguard buildings and grounds.
• Keep site clean, tidy and free from litter.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance.
• Support grounds maintenance and outdoor areas.
• Operate heating systems and report issues.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Record maintenance checks in the Every system.
• Oversee cleaning team and manage on-site contractors.
• Receive deliveries and store materials safely.
• Ensure COSHH safety storage of chemicals.
• Conduct daily site safety checks.
• Adhere to safeguarding and Health & Safety policies.
