Job summary

Organised School in St Ives is seeking a dependable School Caretaker to support the smooth running of its site. You will help maintain a safe, secure and well-presented environment for students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, general maintenance, inspections, setting up rooms for events and liaising with contractors. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience and a strong focus on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, maintenance or site experience preferred.
• Practical, hands-on approach.
• Good health and safety awareness.
• Reliable and well organised.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school and manage site security.
• Complete general maintenance, repairs and DIY.
• Carry out site inspections and resolve maintenance issues.
• Support room setups and school events.
• Monitor health and safety across the premises.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers.
