Job summary

Lift East Wichel and Lift Schools are seeking a proactive School Facilities Manager to ensure the site is safe, clean and prepared for learning. You’ll work with staff, contractors and the wider team to maintain day-to-day operations and respond to maintenance needs promptly.

You should have background in building care or site management, GCSE Maths and English, and a full UK driving licence. A hands-on role requiring teamwork and initiative within our supportive trust.

Qualifications

• Background in building care, cleaning or site management.
• GCSE Maths and English (or similar).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfort using basic IT and carrying out general repairs and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Keep the school clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
• Carry out minor repairs and report bigger maintenance needs.
• Open and close the school daily, and act as a key holder for emergencies.
• Complete health and safety checks and keep clear records.
• Support contractors on site and guide them through planned work.
• Help set up spaces for events, lessons and community activities.
