Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking a proactive School Facilities Manager for Lift Noel Park Primary in North London. You will ensure the site is clean, secure and well-maintained to support teaching and learning. The role is hands-on, including minor repairs and contractor oversight, with a split shift pattern.

You’ll open/close daily, carry out checks, log tests and uphold health and safeguarding procedures. Level 2 Maths/English and a UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or equivalent) is required.
• Premises management background and related experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of security systems, health and safety procedures and COSHH is desirable.
• Good DIY skills and ability to carry out general repairs, including lifting and moving heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Keep premises presented to a high standard, clean, tidy and litter-free.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance; report major issues to area site manager.
• Open and close the school daily; act as principal keyholder for emergency call-outs.
• Oversee contractors on site; ensure planned maintenance and works are carried out safely.
• Complete daily and weekly statutory checks; log and record tests.
• Ensure health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures are followed.
