Job summary

Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking a committed and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our facilities team, helping to keep the site safe, secure, well-maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

Working under the Site Manager, you will assist with maintenance, security and caretaking across the school, perform minor repairs, unlock/lock buildings, keep indoor and outdoor areas clean and safe, move equipment, and support events and lettings.

Qualifications

• Ability to undertake basic maintenance and repairs (plumbing, drains, fixtures).
• Able to work as part of a team and manage tasks to timescales.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the role and maintain high standards.
• Commitment to health and safety and securing a school site.
• Flexible approach to working hours including opening/closing and events.
• Professional, reliable and supportive to academy life.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, security and caretaking across the school site.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Locking and unlocking buildings to support site security.
• Maintain clean and safe indoor and outdoor environments.
• Move equipment and furniture as needed.
• Support academy events and lettings.
• Possibility to drive the school minibus.
• Flexible or split shift patterns as required.
