The successful candidate will have practical, hands-on maintenance skills, be reliable, and able to start immediately. The position offers a full-time schedule with an immediate start and potential for ongoing work, with Enhanced DBS required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, Site Assistant, Maintenance Operative or Handyperson.
• Practical, hands-on and confident carrying out basic maintenance and DIY.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Able to start immediately in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Opening and locking up the school premises.
• Carrying out security and site checks.
• Supporting with general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Completing basic DIY and maintenance tasks.
• Moving furniture and assisting with event and classroom set-ups.
• Receiving and handling deliveries.
• Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Reporting any maintenance, security or health and safety issues.
• Assisting the wider site team with general facilities duties.
