Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Catering Assistant at St Mary's Roman Catholic High School in Lugwardine, Hereford. The role supports a busy school food service, focusing on food preparation, serving, and maintaining hygienic kitchen and dining areas.

Working pattern is 11:30am–13:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time (38 weeks), with permanent, part-time hours. Training is provided and the environment is team-focused with emphasis on high service standards.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and communication to support a busy service.
• Good organisation and attention to detail for food service operations.
• Prior catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies as needed.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
