Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council seeks a part-time Cleaning Supervisor and Cleaner for Forth Primary School. You’ll work 15 hours weekly (3pm–6pm, Mon–Fri; 7.5h as supervisor, 7.5h as cleaner) with a blended role and hourly rates of £13.80; £14.12–£14.27 for supervisor.

Duties include cleaning, safety monitoring, room setup for lets, and on-site safety reporting. Responsibilities cover supervising cleaners, recruiting support, ensuring secure premises, and adherence to COSHH and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning operations or supervising cleaners is desirable.
• Ability to supervise and train a small team.
• Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas and walls.
• Monitor cleaning standards per specification/COSHH and report issues to management.
• Set up rooms for lets and act as on-site responsible person for safety reporting.
• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants, assist with training and recruitment.
• Ensure building security and act as key-holder when required.
