Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is recruiting Cleaning Supervisors to lead school cleaning teams, ensuring a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment across Our Lady & St Josephs PS, St Michael's Primary, and Chryston High School. The PVG scheme will be arranged by the council, and roles are 15 hours per site.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in commercial cleaning, strong communication and organisational skills, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning teams in a commercial or school setting.
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities in cleaning operations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and organise tasks within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support school cleaning teams to maintain high standards.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently across multiple sites.
• Monitor equipment use and safety compliance on shifts.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a welcoming environment.
