Job summary

Clarence Recruitment is seeking reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to work across Leicester City schools with term-time-only hours.

As a School Cleaner you will work Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 6:00pm, in classrooms, corridors and washrooms, maintaining high hygiene standards and following all health and safety procedures. DBS checks are required or can be obtained. Immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a school, commercial, or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH practices.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional references covering the last three years.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff areas, and communal spaces.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the school premises.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and sanitise designated areas.
• Clean washrooms and replenish consumables including soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Follow all school health and safety procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns to the Site Manager or Supervisor.
• Work as part of a professional team to ensure the school is ready for the following day.
