Job summary

Academics Ltd are recruiting a reliable School Cleaner to join a friendly secondary school in Dartford, Kent. This part-time, term-time only role runs Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, starting ASAP.

You will clean classrooms, corridors and communal areas, maintain high standards of cleanliness, follow COSHH guidelines, and report any issues to the Site Team. DBS is required or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in schools, offices or commercial spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and common areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting.
• Empty bins and replenish consumables.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Site Team.
• Work both independently and as part of the cleaning team.

Salary: 14.24 per hour

Academics Ltd are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a friendly and welcoming secondary school in Dartford.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced cleaner looking for a part-time, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting throughout the school.
• Emptying bins and replenishing consumables where required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Following health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Reporting any maintenance, cleaning or health and safety concerns to the Site Team.
• Working independently and as part of the wider cleaning team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office or commercial environment.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service OR be willing to pay for and obtain a new Enhanced DBS.
• A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a safe environment for pupils.
