Job summary

Bolton Council is recruiting cleaning operatives to provide cleaning services to schools and borough buildings in Bolton. The role covers sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, bin emptying and toilet cleaning, with duties in the afternoons from 3pm to 5:30pm for 12.5 hours per week.

You will need physical fitness and the ability to read and follow instructions. Prior experience is not required, but reliability and attention to deadlines are essential.

The Role

We are seeking to recruit cleaning operatives to work within our Services for Schools department. The role is responsible for providing cleaning services to schools and buildings within the borough of Bolton. You will be required to undertake general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins and toilet cleaning.

About You

You will need a good level of physical fitness; you’ll be task focussed and motivated to get the job done. Previous experience is not necessary, but you’ll need to be able to read and follow verbal/written instructions and be able work to strict deadlines.
