Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking a reliable School Cleaner for a primary school in Ashbourne. This part-time, long-term temporary role involves cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas to high cleanliness standards, maintaining a safe environment for pupils and staff.

You will vacuum, mop, dispose of waste, stock cleaning supplies, and report health and safety concerns. Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, with a friendly, professional approach and ability to work

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will play an important role in ensuring classrooms, communal areas and facilities are kept to a high standard for pupils and staff.

About the Role:

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom facilities
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Wiping down desks, surfaces, doors and high-contact areas
• Ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked and stored safely
• Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or safeguarding concerns to the appropriate member of staff
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming school environment

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous, although not essential
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
