Job summary

The Belvedere Academy, Liverpool is seeking a School Chef to join the catering team. The role supports the Catering Manager and Sous Chef in delivering nutritious meals for staff and students and involves menu planning, accepting deliveries, and handling associated paperwork.

Ideal candidates will prepare meals in line with regulations, contribute to menu creativity, and lead parts of the kitchen team as required. Term-time hours apply with a 37.5-hour week and immediate start.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing nutritious meals.
• Ability to work with Catering Manager and Sous Chef.
• Willingness to work term-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare well-balanced nutritious meals in line with current regulations.
• Assist with creative menu planning and adapting menus as required.
• Take deliveries of food and non-food items and manage related paperwork.
• Provide direction to the wider catering team as required by the Catering Manager.
• Support a high-quality food offer for staff and students.
