Job summary

Integra Resourcing Group is seeking a School Chef in Mansfield (NG20) to prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils, upholding high standards of food hygiene and safety throughout the day.

You will need previous chef or catering experience, knowledge of food hygiene rules, and a flexible, reliable approach. A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, and an enhanced DBS check may be required by the school.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:30pm

The Role

As School Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to pupils, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and organised.
• Managing food stock, storage and waste efficiently.
• Working effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the school kitchen.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a chef or catering role is essential.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
• A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo the necessary safeguarding checks, in line with school requirements.
