Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting a Sous Chef for a school catering role in Eastbourne. Working Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30, you will support the Head Chef in preparing nutritious meals and ensuring smooth daily production.

This ongoing temporary assignment requires prior experience in high-volume catering, a solid knowledge of food hygiene, and a valid Enhanced DBS. You will help maintain a clean kitchen and supervise staff as needed, with an immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in high-volume catering.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate is essential.
• Reliability and excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and service of nutritious, high-quality meals.
• Assisting with menu preparation and daily food production.
• Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Supervising kitchen staff when required.
