Blue Arrow is recruiting a School Chef to cover Leicestershire and surrounding areas, delivering nutritious meals to pupils in line with dietary guidelines. You will work across multiple school sites, planning, preparing and cooking meals during term-time hours.

The role requires proven chef experience, a passion for healthy food, strong organisation and leadership, plus a valid Enhanced DBS. Competitive pay starts from £16 per hour, with ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally in an educational or large-scale catering setting.
• Passion for healthy food and high standards of presentation.
• Willingness to work across different school sites in Leicester.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook balanced meals in line with school dietary guidelines.
• Manage kitchen operations, including food ordering, stock control, and hygiene standards.
• Lead and support kitchen assistants to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.
• Cater for special dietary requirements and allergens.
