Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, via Chartwells, is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering and service operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week and 47.2 weeks per year. You will lead kitchens and service counters, deliver exceptional food experiences, and drive KPI performance while upholding brand standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of catering experience, holds NVQ 1/2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 required.
Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
Minimum two years catering experience.
Experience managing teams in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
Overseeing in-unit catering operations, including inventories, budgets, and action plans.
Communicating with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
Identifying opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales.
Liaising between customers and our teams to exceed expectations.
Training and supporting teams to excel in their roles.
Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across catering and service teams.
