Job summary

Ripple Education is seeking a School Catering Manager for a busy school kitchen in Seahouses. You will oversee daily operations, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and ensure high standards of food hygiene.

This role runs Monday to Friday, 9am-2pm, with immediate start and opportunities for ongoing local work. The ideal candidate has school kitchen experience and a Food Hygiene qualification, with safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school kitchen or catering management role.
• A valid Food Hygiene/Food Safety certificate is required.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and allergens.
• Experience serving meals to established menus and standards.
• Ability to manage stock, storage and rotation.

• Professional approach around children and school staff.

Are you an experienced Catering Manager looking for your next role in Seahouses & Surrounding Areas?

Ripple Education is currently recruiting for a Catering Manager for a school. This is a specific opportunity for someone who can confidently take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy school kitchen and provide children with good-quality, nutritious meals.

Location: Seahouses
Hours: 9am - 2pm, Monday - Friday

The role

As the school’s Catering Manager, you may be responsible for:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the school kitchen

• Managing dietary requirements and allergens safely
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety
• Organising food preparation and meal service efficiently

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working in a school kitchen, catering management role or similar environment
• A relevant Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification
• A strong understanding of food hygiene, health and safety and allergen management
• Experience preparing and serving meals to agreed menus and standards
• Confidence managing stock, storage and food rotation
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to lead and work effectively as part of a catering team
• A professional and positive approach when working around children and school staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and your responsibilities when working in a school environment
