Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Catering Manager to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meals for children, young people, and staff. You will lead the kitchen team, manage service points and ensure compliance with food safety standards and allergen requirements.

You will coordinate ordering, stock control and staff training while promoting the catering service across the school community and supporting event catering as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute skilled cooking activities and menu preparation including portion control and special diets.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service and dining centre operations.
• Manage delivery, ordering, storage and stock-take to ensure food safety and minimise wastage.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and allergen management.
• Develop a friendly, responsive catering service and communicate with parents, principals and pupils.
