Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is hiring a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen, handling basic food preparation and providing friendly service to students and staff. You will work on the tills during service and help keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health and safety standards.

The role offers school-term hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, with a focus on work-life balance. Training is provided, including potential Food Hygiene Level 2 development.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred but not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation to support kitchen team.
• Handle tills during service and provide friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment and uphold health and safety compliance.
• Support lunchtime service to run smoothly during school term.
