Job summary

Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, is seeking a Catering Assistant at Winchester House School in Brackley. This term-time role offers 16-20 hours across a Monday–Friday rota with shifts 12pm–4pm or 3:30pm–7:30pm and a requirement to work Mon,Tue,Thu 3:30-7:30.

You will assist in food preparation, keep kitchens clean, deliver friendly, efficient service, and help exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Term-time only role with 16-20 hours per week.
• Shifts include 12:00–16:00 or 15:30–19:30 with a 5‑day rota and Mon/Tue/Thu 15:30–19:30 requirement.
• Willingness to complete food safety, health & safety training and enhanced DBS.
• Customer-focused with a friendly, hygienic service mindset.
• Ability to work within a school catering environment and co-operate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food and snacks.
• Keep kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy.
• Provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to customers.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service and exceed expectations.
• Be visible and responsive to customers during service periods.
• Learn about food items and maintain stocked service counters.
• Co-operate with all team members and duties in kitchen/service areas.
• Attend required food safety, health & safety and environmental training.
• Follow unit cleaning schedules.
